Our approach to the impact of Covid-19

March 31, 2020

We at AY-PE want to update and reassure clients, contractors and stakeholders regarding our plans during the Coronavirus/ Covid-19 outbreak.

In line with government orders, each member of the team has now moved to working from home, but we are trying to maintain ‘business as usual’ as much as possible. This means we have made provision through remote server access, computer equipment and mobile phones for the team to work and collaborate from home so that we may collectively manage and move projects forwards.

We are monitoring government advice closely and as such have ceased site/ client visits. Our preference now is for email communication and client / contact meetings by video conference/ telephone only. We can work with clients to find the right digital communication solution for their project. We will share items for review by digital communication only.

AY-PE is a close-knit team – if a colleague is unable to work then the rest of the team will pick up their activities with the aim of keeping a project moving. Both the Project Management and the Design teams have several team members who, from the collective work practices which we already have in place, can pick up the work of a colleague and administer it. If this occurs then we will be in touch with clients (either by email/ call to the key project contacts) as soon as possible – to update on the absence(s)/ change of personnel and/or if this is likely to cause any impact on work.

It is AY-PE’s intention to keep designing and creating our digital experiences as planned through these uncertain times. We are aware though that the changes may mean that some of our usually efficient processes such as rendering out films or designing/ producing with other project contractors/ freelancers – may may take a little longer than usual. We will keep projects updated on this and advise of impact/ practical next steps if any such concerns arise.

We love creating digital experiences to engage and inspire the public and desperately want visitors to have those moments to look forward to and enjoy – that’s why we’re taking every measure possible to minimise any impact on our work. We will update on any further changes to our work practices or delivery as the situation evolves.

If you’d like to speak to us about our approach, please do drop us an email to info@ay-pe.com

We wish everyone a very good health at this time.
