Working with New Lanark Trust, AY-PE designed and delivered a stunning immersive AV interpretive experience for this UNESCO world heritage site.

New Lanark, a former 18th century mill and housing area features many industrial-revolution-era buildings including an untouched residential tenement, known as “Museum Stair”. A new exhibition explores the life of this inaccessible building and AY-PE created the centre-piece AV: a life-like, multi-projection, journey through the evolution of a tenement room.

IMMERSIVE AV

Motion Design & Sound

AY-PE filled a 6m2 room with ambient soundscapes and projected 6K films of stop-frame animation, VFX and 3D camera work. Working closely with New Lanark curators & Real Studio designers, accurate depictions of the Museum Stair’s room fixtures are seen animatedly changing with the season’s & years, whilst its wallpaper patterns dance, peel & reveal decades of home-life.
